Mason was helping me bang the berries
off of the branch. I went
into the thick of it and cut them
he stayed at the truck and banged them.
Palmetto berries in their natural state. The
first day i picked them by myself I got
173lbs. this totalled $70. It took four hours.
This is what I went into in order to find the berries
I picked again sat and sun three hours each day
It was hot,buggy,humid and I have scratches all over.
Looking really lovely!!!
The last batch of picking produced 190lbs of berries.
Although this time i had to take the price of 35cents
per lb. instead of the first 40cents. Oh well. I am
done picking. It was an experience and will do next
year maybe......... Made $66.50 today! Money is money right?????
WOW this is cool.... That is a lot of berries. Were they on your land or did you go somewhere to pick them?
